Earlier this year the district provided a webinar for parents on internet privacy/cyber bullying. I attended along with 75 others and was really impressed by the valuable information shared. However, I immediately recognized the need for students to receive this information as well, so I created an student presentation on internet privacy and shared it with the school counselor. The school counselor in turn shared it with the district director of support services, who asked to meet with me about future lessons that could be used district-wide. This was the first time I'd been asked to provide resources at the district level, but hopefully it won't be the last.

To create my Internet Privacy presentation, I used Slides Go , a free website that provides colorful google slides for a variety of topics. I also used Pear Deck to allow for student participation, despite masks, shields, and distancing. My presentation is a collection of various resources from common sense media, pear deck, and other internet websites. In my follow up google form, I learned that students were interested in learning how to keep social media accounts private, and that has led to my working on my next presentation about Instagram privacy.
